- The company or any who act on its
behalf should obtain a plants import permit from Plant
Wealth Directorate. Ministry of Municipalities
Affairs & Agriculture.
- The plants should be accompanied with
phytosanitary certificate ratified by concerned authority
at the country of origin to declare that the plants
are free of any insect pests or plant pathogens.
- In case of plant grown in natural
soil, soil should be treated with pesticides (e.g. furadan
granules 10%) in the country of origin and the treatment
should be mentioned in the phytosanitary certificate
accompanied the plants.
- Upon the arrival of plants at the
exhibition center in Kingdom of Bahrain, they should
be inspected by quarantine officers to assure the plants
are free of any pest infestation.
- Regarding the date palms and palm
like trees, they also should be free of any diseases
or insects and mite pests. Phytosanitary Certificate
must be accompanied with the trees and indicated that
the trees has been examined and treated in the country
of origin.
The Plant Wealth Directorate is pleased
and willing to provide the participants with any further
information regarding the importation measure. Furthermore
the directorate has established a team that would provide
technical support needed to all participants.
